Grub is an animal-type mobile in GunboundM. Most pros stay away from using this mobile because its offense is too conditional despite having great attributes. In fact out of the top 100 players in the game, none of them have Grub in their lineup. One of the reason is it can easily be countered by simply standing on ledges and moving away from craters. In addition, its bouncing balls can be very unpredictable on flat terrain.

Shots

Icon Skill Description
Grub Bomb Shoots 2 balls. The first one explodes on direct hit, while the other bounces off. Typical damage 140 to 170.
Grub Egg Bomb Shoots 3 balls that bounce and roll on the ground. It requires some time before exploding when it hits a mobile. A direct hit on the enemy will not suffice. Typical damage when all balls connect is 200-250.
Heat Grub Egg Shoots a single ball that rolls on the ground. Its damage power increases as it bounces off around the target. 400-900 (variable)

Gameplay Tips

  • Grub is best paired with mobiles that can dig deep holes like Bigfoot. Ice and turtle works too but you probably don't want to start two mobiles of the same type.
  • Make sure to place grub at the number 2 or number 3 spot of your lineup. Ideally, you would want to use your first mobile to put your target on a tough spot where it can't escape a hole. Enemy goes in hole, ball goes in hole, 'nuff said.

Recommended Avatar and Jewels

Grub's third shot is arguably one of the most powerful special skill in the game given the right circumstances. I've seen it deal up to 900 damage, which is more than enough to kill any full health mobile. It only make sense to take advantage of this by using avatars that gives additional charge to fill the meter easily. You can use any of the following: Joker, Ghost Dancer, Ghost Sword, Jessica and Space Lord. You can then fill the red jewel and yellow slot with 'Increase Damage' and 'Increase Explosion Range'. For blue slot, I recommend placing 'Increase Accuracy' jewel.
